Substack Notes
Read to be inspired!
This post is inspired by reading many writers from Substack Notes! Also, a tribute to Substack for providing such a wonderful space for us to discuss, laugh, and play together.
That’s why we learn to read before we learn to write!
The more I read, the more ideas and topics come to mind. Reading the diverse opinions of people who post on Notes sparks my thoughts on those subjects. Most I agree with; some I agree with partially; the rest I disagree with.
I prefer the approach of “if you have nothing better to say, then say nothing at all.”
When I agree, I fully agree. If I partially agree, I will acknowledge and give my opinion. If I disagree, either I just skip to another one or I like to post a question to better understand the other person’s point of view unless it is an obvious personal opinion. As long as they are open to discussion, it can lead to a beautiful conversation. Otherwise, it might mean they were offended, and I will avoid engaging with them in the future.
Most time I’m supportive - 4vi , Harshini , Melanie J Wilson , Khadejah J , The Ignorant Ninja, Adam Rockwell , K.L. Rockwell , Alexander Semenyuk , John Wozniak , YamanashiLiving123 and John Brown .
But sometimes I’m playful, and I hope you’ll pardon me if I’m mischievous to your liking - Martial X and Tomas Milkamanavičius.
Other times I’m naggy like an old granny - sol s⊙therland 🔸, Aaron M.,and Stefano Miele.🙏😉
There are different types of people, and everyone has a different intention when they engage and post notes.
Some post to inspire, some to promote their work, some to showcase others’ work, some to seek opinions, some to encourage, some to rant, some to show support, some to complain, some to share their perspective, and some just to appreciate.
Not everyone has favorite writers; some prefer to read works from various authors, seeking new perspectives and inspiration. They jump from one writer to another for different reasons. Perhaps they want to support newcomers, boost writers with lesser views, find a writer whose thoughts resonate with them, or avoid forming attachments due to past hurt or betrayal, especially online. Some avoid commitment because they fear boredom. However, one does not get bored simply by being in a singular relationship (of any kind); they make the relationship interesting by enjoying everything together, which is called compounding happiness.
To each their own—there is no right or wrong. I just find it kind of funny that some people want to be seen yet keep others at arm’s length. Is this a new type of social behavior? Open to discussion but forever guarded?🤔
Many people say Substack is the best social platform compared to others. In my opinion, there are a few reasons why it receives so much praise.
Most of us here are writers, and we are likely like-minded. While we may have different opinions, we are civilized in our discussions.
When we compare platforms, we often come from others with a better mindset.
If we all do our best to maintain a positive vibe, it will definitely create a conducive space for everyone.
I think their censorship is quite lenient but very effective at getting rid of bots and scammers.
The best part is that they respond. Whether they can fix the issue is one thing, but at least they are responsive.
I am very grateful to all my subscribers and followers, as well as everyone who likes and comments. It is through your engagement that many of us have connected and built a strong bond. I appreciate each and every one of you very much. Thank you for bringing so much joy into my life and for providing me with a safe space to speak my mind. Kindly allow me to say, I love you!✌️💕🥰
This world is not what we have in mind anymore, but like what Colin Durrant has told me, we can change the world as long every one of us is willing to do our part collectively! 💪🙏😊
Once we change ourselves, our whole world changes!
Let me end it here with this song, Alan Walker - Different World feat. Sofia Carson, K-391 & CORSAK. Enjoy!🌻

Thank you for your acknowledgement, Harshini! 👍
