All right, people—this isn’t me, but I have a similar T-shirt that looks just like this one. You get the idea!
Three years ago, I wore it while walking to the library along my usual path. An elderly lady walking toward me pointed at my T-shirt and made a smile gesture with her hands. I was a bit surprised since it was so sudden, but I responded with two thumbs up and a big grin on my face nonetheless.
She made my day with that kind gesture, and I was really happy to bring a smile to her face too.
Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to make someone’s day—a smile is really all we need.😊
This is a post inspired by Colin Durrant’s note!⬇️
I once saw a T-shirt with similar words, and I thought it was very thoughtful to print such sweet sentiments. It could brighten someone’s day—or even change their entire outlook on life.
Often, we don’t realize how much a simple word of encouragement or discouragement can turn someone’s world upside down. Whether good or bad, words have the power to shift the mood of someone who’s feeling emotional.
That’s why people always say we should be careful with our words—whether spoken or written.
Words can be sharper than swords
Many things in life cut both ways. When used appropriately, they can lift someone’s spirits—but if misused, they might leave lasting scars or even cause irreversible damage, especially when it comes to online comments.
There have been many cases where negative online comments have driven people to take their own lives. Yet in the end, these so-called “keyboard warriors” often face no consequences—and that’s truly heartbreaking.
Lives lost to such hatred are beyond tragic. That’s why I want to gently remind everyone: don’t take others’ words too personally. We can’t control what people say about us, but we can choose how we respond.
I’ve learned to walk away from people who speak negatively. We don’t have to engage with anyone who gossips about others behind their backs—because when you’re not around, chances are they’ll gossip about you too.
As some of you know, I’m currently staying in Canada—and all I can say is, the environment is absolutely wonderful. It’s a quiet town surrounded by lush nature, and the weather is getting warmer every day.
What I love most is that every time I go out for a walk, most of the people I meet are friendly and greet me with a light-hearted "Morning!" or a simple "Hello!" However, I’ve noticed that they tend to do this more when I have a smile on my face. My response is usually a cheerful "Good morning!" or "Hello!" in return.😁
